5 Tracks for This Week’s Grind: Lostboycrow, Kat Deluna, Le MELODiST and More

We’re back at it again with the good jams, specially picked for you folks itching for some new additions to your playlist.

1) Lostboycrow ft. Skizzy Mars, “The Lost Boy”

This mysterious blue-eyed lad has been slowly rising in the community, but no matter, we’re digging him anyway. Lostboycrow has the perfect blend of pop that’s mixed with witty, non-gimmicky electronic beats. This track in particular features Skizzy Mars, an up-and-coming rapper who bears an uncanny resemblance to Childish Gambino and has been working with notable artistes like G-Eazy.

2) Kat Deluna ft. Jeremih, “What A Night”

Remember when Kat Deluna shot to fame nine years back with “Whine Up”, only to fade into obscurity shortly after? Well it seems that she’s back for good now, with an album already in the works. She brings us this bop together with Jeremih, crooning over a Four Seasons’ sample. Her vocals, mixed with Jeremih’s, make for a great pre-turn up tune.

3) Le MELODiST, “Sas Nas”

Little is known about this French producer, but that hasn’t stopped him from amassing a ton of followers on YouTube. We do know that he has absolutely mastered the art of mixing hip-hop into classical tunes flawlessly, but don’t just take our word for it, check out this tune that reminds us of a modern day Nujabes.

4) Theomatic, “Hyper Sleep”

Another elusive artiste that we found is Theomatic, a producer from Seattle. All we know about Seattle is that it’s always cloudy, and that vibe seems to be embodied in this track, as it brings chill vibes interlaced with a subtle RnB fusion that’s enough to get you hooked.

5) Incisive ft. Rukhsana Merrise, “Sink or Swim”

Incisive is definitely not your run-of-the-mill English rapper. With the scene always changing, you gotta make sure you spit fresh each and every time. Not only does he write the lyrics, he also makes his own beats, and always manages to deliver on both fronts. Talk about talent right here.
