ASICS City Relay: Singapore’s First Night Marathon Relay

Taking place at the Singapore Sports Hub, the inaugural ASICS City Relay will allow teams of four to conquer the full marathon distance in a relay format.

The full marathon may be the holy grail of running events, but with a distance of 42.195km to tackle, going for one is definitely a grueling affair. The inaugural ASICS City Relay changes that with a relay format that sees the distance split between a team of four participants in any gender ratio. This cuts it down to a manageable 10.5km per participant while retaining the competitive fun that a running event brings.

Held at the Singapore Sports Hub, participants will take on a designated lap around the Sports Hub precinct and have the opportunity to step onto the pitch of the new National Stadium during their relay changeovers. The atmosphere will be electrifying, as DJs and roving performers, coupled with fireworks from the neighboring National Day Parade Preview, keep runners and spectators entertained throughout the evening.
