Frank Ocean Goes Slow in DJ Slim K’s “Purpl(e)”

DJ Slim K of OG Ron C’s Chopstars crew is back, this time, with a Frank Ocean rework titled Purpl(e).

Frank Ocean’s long-awaited album, Blonde, has been given the #ChoppedNotSlopped treatment by DJ Slim K.

The DJ provides us with a hazy, paced down version of Frank Ocean’s Blonde this festive season. Titled Purpl(e), the reworked album is an even dreamier, slower version of the original:

This is not the first time DJ Slim K has “chopped and screwed” hip-hop. His discography also contains reworks of Young Thug’s Jeffery and J.Cole’s Forest Hills Drive, among many other iconic works.

Listen to Frank Ocean’s pitched down vocals in the embedded player above, set to a mesmerizing soundscape that’s perfect to chill out to this post-Christmas day, and let us know what you think.
