Mystic Vintage Eyewear Presents Alchemy & Sorcery: The Magic Series

Singapore vintage eyewear label Mystic Vintage casts a spell with its latest collection, Alchemy & Sorcery: The Magic Series.

If you love your vintage eyewear, you will love Mystic Vintage, a range of eyewear that is inspired by the iconic frames from brands such as Cazal, Christian Dior, Dunhill, Silhouette and Metzler. Its latest collection, Alchemy & Sorcery, launched early this year, is sure to cast a spell.

Alchemy

Alchemy is the first browline glasses (a style of eyewear invented in 1947 by Jack Rohrbach) by Mystic Vintage. The design is a modern take on a classic shape, featuring an acetate nose bridge, angular temples and alchemic colors. Inspired by the art of Transmutation, spells were referenced from the 80s cartoon series Visionaries, which Knights summoned powers with their flags:

“Three suns aligned pour forth their light and fill the archer’s bow with might!”
“By nature’s hand, by craft, by art; what once was one now fly apart!”
“Power of rot, obscuring truth, what once was old restore to youth!”

Sorcery

Sporting gentle curves, diamond studs and the iconic Mystic Vintage nose-bridge, Sorcery is a frame which embodies the qualities of Magic. Drawing inspiration from songs and scenes of the movie Labyrinth, these magical quotes are lifted to accompany the sunglasses:

“Dance Magic Dance”
“I’ll paint you mornings of gold”
“You have no power over me”
