The Nike Air Sock Racer Comes With Flyknit Technology

The Nike Air Sock Racer Ultra Flyknit is the classic Sock Racer with a fresh new upper.

First released in 1986, the Nike Air Sock Racer returns with a Flyknit upper.The update is said to give the revamped sneaker a lighter silhouette.

Other notable changes include redesigned sneaker buckles and Nike Zoom cushioning in the heel area.

To recap, the Nike Air Sock Racer was first released more than three decades ago. Originally made for marathon runners to withstand a 26-mile run with ease, the sneakers were designed by Bruce Kilgore – the same designer behind the iconic Nike Air Force 1 and the Air Jordan 2 silhouette.

The updated Nike Air Sock Racer Ultra Flyknit will set you back US$130 (approx. S$181.27). The shoe drops Thursday, April 27. Those interested in copping the upcoming sneakers can do so online and at select Nike retail stores.
