Rihanna’s FENTY PUMA Collection Premiered at New York Fashion Week

It’s taken a while to come to fruition, but Rihanna’s first full collection with PUMA has been worth the wait.

After months of anticipation, the FENTY PUMA by Rihanna Fall/Winter 2016 Collection finally made its debut at the New York Fashion Week last Friday.

“This collection is not only a representation of who I am and how I dress, but also pushes the boundaries of what I wanted to create with PUMA,” said Rihanna.

FENTY PUMA is inspired by contemporary Japanese street culture; complete with gothic overtones, exaggerated volumes and proportions thrown into the mix. The collection spans footwear, apparel and accessories for both men and women.

Noteworthy are the new styles that make up the collection such as kimono robes, tear-away Tricot track suits and lace-up jersey corsets. Mainstay pieces – long sleeve tops, jackets and hoodies – will appease the traditionalists.

Following the release of the Creeper and Eskiva, Rihanna bumps up the FENTY PUMA footwear range with boots, heels and more sneakers for FW16. There’s the FENTY Trainer, a futuristic training shoe that will be released worldwide on February 26th. The Fur Slide slip-on that Rihanna herself has been spotted in will have an April launch date, while the Creeper returns with new colors this May.

The FENTY PUMA by Rihanna Fall/Winter 2016 will be available in retail stores from September 2016 onwards.
