Rihanna Livestreamed Herself Watching Her “Bates Motel” Episode

The closest any of us will ever get to watching TV with Rihanna.

Over 40,000 people tuned in to Instagram to watch Rihanna livestream herself reacting to her role in Bates Motel, the TV series inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho.

The live stream showed the musician looking embarrassed as she sat through the episode, in which she assumed the role of Marion Crane, sex scenes and all.

Spoiler alert: Marion Crane is the iconic character who gets stabbed to death in the shower by the murderous Norman Bates in the horror film, Psycho.

In an attempt to make it through the entire episode, Rihanna created a drinking game – downing a shot of tequila with her friends every time her Bates Motel character says “Sam”, the name of her on-screen lover, Sam Loomis (Austin Nichols). We’re guessing that the musician had a few too many “Sam’s” in her dialogue since Rihanna ended up getting pretty sloshed.

Despite the flak Rihanna has received for her acting, the star shows no signs slowing down her acting career. The 29-year old musician’s filmography includes a number of blockbuster hits like Battleship (2012), This is the End (2013), as well as the all-female cast remake of Ocean’s 11 aptly titled, Ocean’s Eight, due to be released in June 2018.
