STGCC has been the go-to large scale marketplace for pop culture toy collectors, and this year is no different. Besides the usual suspects like Hot Toys, look out also for works by Singapore’s very own XM Studios, which produces limited edition scaled collectible figures of popular Marvel characters, like those pictured above.

What’s a comic convention without fans dressed up as their favorite characters? Costume play, or cosplay for short, sees ordinary folk transformed into pop culture figure lookalikes using ingenious and creative means. There’s no better avenue for these like-minded people to show off than at the STGCC 2014. Plus, keep your eyes on guest cosplayers Aliga, Lenneth XVII and Stayxxxx as they sizzle up the halls.

If Anisong, Vocaloid and Touhou are genres familiar to you, or if you just want to dabble in anime-inspired tracks, make sure you attend the first day of STGCC 2014, where DJs Inu, D.watt and Sasakure. UK will be on the decks!
