Star Wars Fighter Planes Have Landed in Singapore

You’ll be forgiven for thinking that you stumbled onto the Star Wars film set the next time you set foot into Changi Airport.

In anticipation of the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie, life-size replicas of the X-Wing and TIE Imperial fighters have been put up at Changi Airport Terminal 3 and 2 respectively. The display will be open to the public from now till January 5th 2016.

There will be character meet-and-greet sessions with Rebel Alliance pilots and Stormtroopers every Saturday. Members of the public can queue for tickets to take photos in the X-Wing’s cockpit. Costumes are also available should one choose to get into character.

Besides the two replica fighters on display, there are also Star Wars-themed planes making their journeys across selected cities. Who knows, you might just catch a glimpse of them the next time you visit the airport!
