Takashi Murakami has said he would like his signature Smiling Flowers motif to feature in the Louis Vuitton x Supreme collaboration.

The contemporary Japanese artist revealed these details in an interview with Women’s Wear Daily (WWD), leading people to speculate that there’s yet another Louis x Supreme collab in the pipeline and that Murakami will be involved.

The interview took place at Murakami’s latest ongoing exhibition, “The Octopus Eats Its Own Leg”.

The comment came as a surprise since sources (such as The Fashion Law and Complex) have reported that the Murakami and Louis Vuitton ended their 13-year collaboration in 2015.
