The A Cold Wall x Nike Zoom Vomero +5 will launch exclusively at Dover Street Market Singapore from November 29 together with a capsule collection of technical garments as well. Both the black and white iterations will retail at S$299.
Keeping your sneakers fresh is a thing of the past if you’re looking to cop the A Cold Wall x Nike collaboration sneakers. The London-based streetwear label led by Samuel Ross rubs its raw and industrial aesthetic off onto the ACW x Nike Zoom Vomero 5, inspired by the idea of how time and age play a part in enhancing the appeal of products.
The upper is made of a technical Japanese nylon fabrication without any protective PU coating to ensure a quick aging process. If you’re familiar with raw denim jeans, then you’d probably understand the wear-and-tear concept that is so revered in denim culture. In essence, the A Cold Wall x Nike collaboration sneakers aim to add character and tell the story of the wearer the more it’s worn.
As far as detailing is concerned, the toe box is made up of mesh paneling with A Cold Wall’s branding slapped on the leather ridges of the toecap. Capping it off is an exaggerated panel on the back of the shoe – one you can’t miss even from a distance. It does, however, provide a great contrast to the slim silhouette of the Zoom Romero 5. Given the chunky silhouette trend right now, this just might be a hit among sneakerheads.
The A Cold Wall x Nike Zoom Vomero 5 sneakers is set to launch globally this month on November 29. While we’ve yet to know the retail prices and release information, do keep your eyes on this space for updates.
