adidas Consortium ZX Flux for Spring/Summer 2014 – 15 March 2014

The ZX 8000, first released in 1989, has been re-released this year in the form of the next-generation Consortium ZX Flux.

When it was first released in 1989, the ZX 8000 shoe captured the hearts of dedicated athletes and street-level casuals the world over. The shoe boasted technologies such as SoftCell in the heel and the revolutionary Torsion system that allowed free and natural movement of the foot. On the exterior, the now-iconic TPU heel cage provided vital support and a futuristic look.

In the next-generation ZX Flux, the ZX 8000 formula takes a brand new direction. Stripped back to the strictly essential ZX DNA, the Consortium ZX Flux – produced in a limited run of 250 shoes – tweaks the shoe’s minimalist aesthetic with a purple mesh upper, offset by welded black Three Stripes and a contrast heel cage in white. The predominantly white tooling is enhanced by a bright red outsole, which matches the individually numbered lace jewel.

The Consortium ZX Flux is now available at Limited Edt Vault at 313@Somerset.
