The space-inspired Ultraboost 20 will land in Singapore on December 6 for S$260.

Adidas has conquered Earth and is now looking to expand into space. This year, the brand formed a partnership with the International Space Station to test the Ultraboost in space. Scientists will study the Boost molding process in zero gravity conditions, with the aim of improving the cushioning technology. To celebrate this momentous collaboration, Adidas has launched the Adidas Ultraboost 20.

Ultraboost 20 Sneaker imageSimilar to previous iterations of the Ultraboost, it boasts Primeknit uppers attached to Boost midsoles, which rest atop Continental rubber outsoles. The formula may be similar, but most of the sneaker has been revamped.

The uppers are now reinforced with Tailored Fibre Placements to give the sneaker a more precise fit and better control between strides.  To aid with lockdown, the sneaker now comes with a 3D Heel Frame. The stripped-back design helps cradle the heel and lock your foot in place. This heel frame is both adaptable and firm, so you know your feet won’t be sliding about.

To provide the best possible traction, the sneaker retains its signature Stretchweb outsoles. Combined with the Torsion Spring, the Ultraboost 20 is cut out to be a serious performance runner – not just a streetwear-focused sneaker.

Special edition versions of the Ultraboost 20 have been created to commemorate the ISS collaboration. They come in a black colorway for men and white colorway for women. These sneakers are embellished with special purple, iridescent stripes, and heel cap and a special ISS US National Laboratory patch on the tongues.

These limited-edition colorways will drop from December 6 and can be picked up at Adidas stores at Suntec City, Vivocity, Bugis Junction, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, Paragon, Ion Orchard and Jewel Changi Airport. They will retail for S$260. Check out more colorways at Adidas.com.
