Adidas’ New Running Sneaker, SOLARBOOST, is Inspired by NASA Engineering

The Adidas SOLARBOOST is the latest to join the brand’s lineup of running sneakers.

Adidas SOLARBOOST

The shoe features Tailored Fibre Placement technology, an advanced construction of the upper that is said to yield superior comfort, fit and support in a lightweight form

For the avid runners, these could be the next best thing on your feet.

Adidas running introduces the all-new Adidas SOLARBOOST which boasts a ton of new features that will pit it against the best in its category. Function and precision take full form in the development of the performance sneaker. Where it comes to technology and precision engineering, one would turn to the world’s largest space agency for cues – and that’s just what Adidas did.

Adidas SOLARBOOST

The Adidas SOLARBOOST was inspired by NASA’s precise construction of space-shuttles

The very fabric of the performance sneaker takes inspiration from the making of NASA’s space-shuttles, where every part has a unique purpose. With that in mind, every aspect of the Adidas SOLARBOOST was designed to produce a running shoe that’s maximized to its full potential.

For that, Adidas unleashed its latest innovation – the Tailored Fibre Placement technology which features Parley materials. This pioneering technology allows for precision stitching and construction of the shoe to yield the comfort, tailored fit, and the incredible lightness that runners look for in a shoe.

So confident is Adidas of the shoe that it has gone so far as to say research has shown that the Adidas SOLARBOOST delivers a higher energy return when compared to the Nike Epic React Flyknit.
