Berlin shopping guide main

Whether you’re into avant-garde, streetwear, contemporary menswear or just straight-up sneakers, our Berlin shopping guide has got you covered.

When in Berlin, it is hard not to be in awe of the beautiful architecture and art – think the Brandenburg Gate and the East Side Gallery – that the city has to offer. Apart from that, fashion-forward Berlin natives will also catch your eye. From all black punk-rock aesthetics to full-on streetwear get-ups, Berlin has it all, thanks to its bustling fashion and retail scene. To help you navigate this busy city’s retail scene, we’ve compiled the only Berlin shopping guide you will ever need.

P.S. When you get to Berlin, do note that most stores are closed on Sundays by law.

If you’ve yet to have Our Legacy on your radar, it’s time. It’s been less than a year since the Swedish fashion house opened its flagship store in Berlin, but they are already taking the country by storm. The store boasts a great selection of menswear and just recently released a women’s collection as well. Expect fine craftsmanship and attention to detail on each of their pieces, which range from short-sleeve boxy shirts to Mule slip-ons. The same can be said for their store layout, which has been kept very minimal. Definitely a must visit.

2. Firmament
Linienstraße 40, 10119 Berlin, Germany

Berlin’s own Firmament is one of the best stores to visit, because its customer service, music playlist and brands available are all on point. Apart from their own labels, the store has other offerings from both popular and upcoming brands like Stone Island, FDMTL Japan, and Reception clothing, all of which are hard to come by in Singapore and even Berlin for that matter. Firmament’s the shop to check out if you’re looking for a breath of fresh air.

3. Superconscious
Weinbergsweg 22, 10119 Berlin, Germany

Superconscious strays away from more popular streetwear brands and instead features smaller up-and-coming brands like Harmony from Paris, Liful from South Korea and their very own, Souvenir. You can expect to find hidden gems that you never knew existed when browsing through their racks. Our favorite find is the Tools Hustler Big Bag that comes straight from South Korea.

4. Nag Nag Nag Outlet Shop
Dircksenstraße 45, 10178 Berlin, Germany

Nag Nag Nag Shop is one for all avant-garde fans. The store showcases a wide collection of famous brands like Boris Bidjan Saberi, Rick Owens, Casey Casey and so much more. Also, though their store name sounds very playful, they certainly do not play around with their sales, which can go up to 80% off. This is probably the best place for savings among all the stores listed in this Berlin shopping guide. So make sure you stop by if you are looking for some avant-garde steals to add to your wardrobe.

5. Andreas Murkudis
Potsdamer Straße 81, 10785 Berlin, Germany

Though Berlin doesn’t have a Dover Street Market like we do in Singapore, they have Andreas Murkudis, which is just as good. Andreas Murkudis is a multi-brand retailer that features collections from Comme Des Garcons, OAMC, Issey Miyake and more. This is the place to go to if you want to be spoiled for choice.

But make sure you know what you’re looking for, because each of the three Andreas Murkudis outlets – 81, 77 and 98 – serves a different purpose. 81 is where they carry all their fashion brands, 77 operates as a furniture store, while 98 is where the brand plans and executes interior concepts for their clients. It’s quite the retail experience if you ask us. However, don’t take our word for it – check it out yourself.

6. Carhartt WIP
Rosenthaler Str. 48

Carhartt WIP – the more fashion-centric sub-label of Carhartt – has a two-storey shop at the center of Berlin carrying a wide range of t-shirts, accessories and, most prominently, pants. The store offers a wide array of colors and cuts of bottoms that’s stacked to the ceiling. Here’s our hot tip: their carpenter pants, be it a single knee or double knee one, is a must cop. What’s more, each costs under S$100.

7. Soto Store
Torstraße 72, 10119 Berlin, Germany

Soto Store is one of those general stores that carries all the fan favorites like Acne Studios, Nikelab, and Undercover. But the shop is hardly generic, thanks to its futuristic vertically-rotating shoe wall. There, you can find everything from Thom Browne brogues to Suicoke sandals and even the recently released Nike Undercover Daybreak sneakers. It will certainly be hard for any sneakerhead to stay cool and collected as you watch the different shoes go by.

8. Voo Store
Oranienstraße 24, 10999 Berlin, Germany

Of all the stores listed in this Berlin shopping guide, Voo Store has the best mix of menswear and womenswear. Similar to Soto Store, Voo Store offers popular international brands like Prada, Maison Margiela and Loewe. The prices are steep, but the store is still a must-visit for its unique rustic ambiance. Also, you might find some steals digging through their racks.

 9. Sneakersnstuff
Schönhauser Allee 6-7, 10119 Berlin, Germany

Sneakersnstuff boasts one of the coolest store layouts in Berlin. Filled with neon lights and spiral tables, the store features a wide range of sneakers exceptionally well. Though they carry a lot of brands, their Nike collection is the most impressive, featuring everything from general release Air Force 1s to the coveted Fear of God Nike sneakers. They also carry their own brand of clothes that includes tees and shorts, which are worth checking out as well.

Do let us know in the comments if any other stores deserve to be on this Berlin shopping guide.
