One of the highest honors for any skate shop is the opportunity to create your own Nike SB Dunk Low. Berlin’s Civilist Skateshop has been bestowed with the offer to design one, but the end result looks similar to the Supreme x Nike SB Dunk Low “Black Cement”.
Both sneakers have very similar elephant print overlays that stretch over the eyelets, midfoot and toe box of the sneaker. These elephant print panels are laid over a black base. Though they have different color Swoosh and toe boxes – the resemblance is uncanny.
For those who love the Supreme x Nike SB Dunk Low “Black Cement”, this could be a more attainable alternative which looks just as good. But the aim of SB Dunk collabs has always been to stand out and create a future grail. Each one embodying the rebellious and loud voice of skate culture. The Civilist x Nike SB Dunk Low seems to have strayed away from the underlying goal of an SB Dunk collaboration.
