Darker Than Wax x G-Shock Collab Sketch Released on Social Media
We finally get a glimpse of what the Darker Than Wax x G-shock watch might look like.
A clue as to what the upcoming Darker Than Wax x G-Shock watch will look like has been dropped on social media.
While the actual watch or its prototype have yet to be revealed, the preview threw out some interesting hints about what collectors can expect.
First of all, the watch will come in a special edition co-branded box, with army green foam as the backing for the commemorative timepiece. G-Shock watches typically come in a tin can covered by a plain black box, so turning the box into a collectible piece in its own right is a pretty neat idea.
The sketch also shows a thumbdrive nestled next to the watch, something not seen on other collabs like the HUF x Casio G-Shock GD400. Our guess is that the thumbdrive contains exclusive Darker Than Wax mixes from the music collective’s lineup of artists.
Last but not least, there appears to be a dirty yellow velcro strap, which acts as a pull-tab for the watch to slide out. This could be indicative that the watch will come primarily in yellow, or at least bear some hints of yellow.
Other than that, all we know is that the Darker Than Wax x Casio G-Shock watch is set for a November 2016 release, so check back with us for more updates.
