End x Reebok DMX Trail Shadow “Mercury” – a comfy alternative to the Balenciaga Track?

The Reebok DMX Trail first gained attention for its resemblance to the Balenciaga Track sneaker.

End elevates the sneaker with hits of silver, neon green and mesh to give the End x Reebok DMX Trail Shadow “Mercury” a high fashion aesthetic that would look as good with a suit as it would with an athleisure fit.

End demonstrates its mastery of men’s fashion and luxury footwear in its latest collaboration with Reebok. Taking the brand’s 2000s trail sneaker, the Reebok DMX Trail Shadow, End adds a mix of silver panels, mesh layers and pops of color to bring the sneaker perfectly into 2020.

The End x Reebok DMX Trail Shadow “Mercury” clearly embodies the element that it’s named after. The sneaker comes in a mostly silver hue, with a metallic midfoot cage that really gives the effect of a liquid metal encasing the uppers – like mercury. Hits of red added to the vector logo and neon green on the midsoles, eyelets and heel caps accent the neutral layers on the trail shoe. As a final touch, a layered “END” logo is placed on the tongue, above the sneaker’s name. The only other End logo on the sneaker is printed onto the insoles.

The end result is a sneaker that really plays on its Balenciaga Track-esque appearance – with design cues that enhance the layers of the sneaker’s uppers. Plus, if you choose to cop these, you can rest assured that the sneakers are actually comfy.  The midsoles use DMX Sheer technology for shock absorption and have chunky rubber for support.
