One design, in particular, stood out for its similarity to a tee once released by heavy metal band, Metallica.

In the Instagram post, Hiroshi Fujiwara stands among various instruments, but his intention, it seems, is nothing musical. Instead, what the creative head behind Fragment Design seems to be orchestrating is a teaser of an upcoming collaboration with Neighborhood.

Metallica “Ride The Lightning” band tee could have been the inspiration behind the design

If anything, Metallica’s Ride The Lightning band tee seems to have inspired the design of the long sleeved tee Fujiwara is seen wearing in the post. Capping off the words “Lumber” in typical Metallica style are Fragment Design’s lightning bolt logo over an electrical surge print.

The other Instagram post sees a relatively simple hoodie reflecting Fragment’s logo on the front and Neighborhood’s on the back. Japanese characters also feature just below the “Craft With Pride” script, a nod to the Japanese heritage of both brands.

Details are scarce, but the collection could debut on the online store FarFetch. Fujiwara has said that the collection will go live on February 28 in Sendai and March 3 in Tokyo. Keep your eyes peeled for more information on the Fragment design x Neighborhood collection.
