When Gwyneth Paltrow jetted in to Singapore this week to launch British Airways’ new A380 superjumbo aircraft between London and Singapore, she expressed her love for the city-state’s cuisine, especially chilli crab. 

Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow is a fan of Singapore cuisine, especially chilli crab.

She said, “I’m a big fan of the local cuisine here, especially the chilli crab, and I’ve really enjoyed exploring the city and trying the amazing variety of food on offer. There’s still so much that I want to visit here and I look forward to returning!”

The Hollywood star jetted in to Singapore from Los Angeles this week to launch British Airways’ new A380 superjumbo aircraft between London and Singapore. The airline now offers a twice-daily service to London and has introduced its A380 superjumbo to meet demand from its customers in Singapore flying to the UK, Europe and North America.

Part of Paltrow’s promotional duties was to pose for seemingly gravity-defying photo shoot, which saw her suspended on a British Airways Club World seat in the middle of the hotel’s famous infinity pool. Towering 650 feet above street level, the 150-metre pool offers one of the most dramatic skyline’s across the city.

Paltrow added, “Singapore has always been a top destination on my wish list, so when British Airways approached me to help launch their impressive A380 to Singapore I couldn’t resist – it was a great opportunity, both fun and truly unique. The location for the shoot was stunning and I’m glad to finally have a photo of myself in the famous infinity pool. With my job I fly a lot, so it’s great that I can now travel to Singapore on British Airways superjumbo.

From October 29th, the carrier will run three A380 services a week, starting from S$1,380. The special return flights are valid for travel between October 29^th, 2014 and July 31^st, 2015. The sale ends on November 14^th, 2014. Terms and conditions apply.
