A Bathing Ape creates a new flip flop inspired by the traditional Zori sandal as part of their Havaianas collaboration, which is now available in Singapore.

Modern heritage: Bape pulls from its Japanese heritage to create a new silhouette inspired by the traditional Japanese Zori sandal. This gives the slipper a slight heel-to-toe drop and a wider, angular stance.

Layered over the widen midsole is a classic Havaianas panel that gives it a slightly familiar look. However, the thin rubber straps have been replaced with fabric ones. This should drastically improve comfort, especially when paired with the chunkier base.

The Tradi Zori flipflops will come in two colorways: White and Steel Grey.

Bape’s famous ABC print is applied to the classic Havaianas flip-flop. It’s also available in three other staple Bape colors – Turquoise, Amazonia and Pink Porcelain.

The straps have been kept pretty simple, coming primarily in solid colors with white Havaianas branding. They will look a lot more subtle on-feet, but each step reveals the eye-catching print.
