Jordan Brand Signs its First Chinese Basketball Player, Guo Ailun

Jordan Brand signs its first Chinese basketball player – 23-year-old point guard Guo Ailun.

Guo Ailun plays in the Chinese Basketball Association and is the brand’s first Chinese endorser.

According to The Vertical’s Nick DePaula, Ailun is expected to earn over US$1.4 million per year to endorse the Jordan Brand.

Standing at 6-foot-4, the 23-year-old point guard is currently one of China’s most popular basketball players. He is best known for his “competitive spirit”, “style of play”, and “strong personality off the court”.

“Joining the Jordan Brand family is a dream come true,” Ailun said in a press statement. “I’ve visualized playing like MJ since I was a kid — from managing the game and leading my team to a championship. It is an honor to be the first Jordan Brand athlete in China and I am thrilled to bring my love of the game to the brand.”
