A seemingly mature Justin Bieber hops on the musician-turns-designer bandwagon, with his own fashion line that might surface this year-end.
Following his recent foray into the industry as the face of Calvin Klein, singer and heartthrob Justin Bieber plans to release his own streetwear brand at the end of this year. The Biebs says he has been planning to create his own fashion line since 2011, after being inspired by Kanye West.
In an interview with WWD, he talks about his move into fashion and the struggles that come along with it. “I haven’t lost that passion. It’s just such a big deal…I just want to make sure it’s perfect and right and take my time with it. I know Kanye [West] has been working on his stuff for years and failed and came back and tried again and failed. It’s about trial and error and I don’t know if I’m ready for that yet.”
He continued by adding that “fashion’s definitely really important, but I got to make sure I’m ready for the failing part of it because I know that comes with it. It’s not easy. It’s not like putting out an album.”
Will he pull it off? We can imagine the challenges that will come his way, such as getting men to wear his clothes, given how there are guys who are averse to anything Bieber-related. That said, in a session of Carpool Karaoke with James Corden, we see a grown up and mature side to Bieber, as he spoke candidly about how he wants to be completely secure with himself and start a family in 10 years. Times have changed, and so has Bieber.
