The rapper skips retirement to release his new album, DROGAS Lights, next year.
Containing collaborations with the likes of Rick Ross, Ty Dolla $ign, and Big K.R.I.T., it will be the rapper’s sixth since his debut album dropped a decade ago.
According to Billboard, Lupe is planning to release two DROGAS albums instead of one. The “real” version is set to be released after he parts ways with Atlantic Records, the currentwhich he’s caught in a battle with.
The rapper recently received backlash for his anti-Semitic lyrics in the song “N.E.R.D”, announcing his retirement shortly after receiving criticism from the CEO of the Anti Defamation League, Jonathan Greenblett.
Well, all that has come to naught. The “lite” version of DROGAS Lights is expected to be released on February 10th 2017. Check out the tracklist and cover art and let us know what you think.
