Met Gala 2017: Celebrities Who Actually Wore Comme Des Garcons

For those unaware, the Met Gala, also known as the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute benefit is a fundraising event to help raise funds for the museum’s Costume Institute.

The Met Gala, held annually, signals the opening of the Costume Institute’s exhibition. This year, the high profile affair celebrates the work of Rei Kawabuko through her label Comme Des Garcons.

The exhibition, titled “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between”, will feature a range of Kawakubo womenswear outfits, designed by Rei Kawabuko for Comme Des Garcons (source: Footwear News).

Rei Kawakubo happens to also be the founder of retail fashion company, Dover Street Market.

And yet, very few celebrities wore Comme Des Garcons to the Met Gala this year. Here’s a roundup of photos of the 12 celebrities who wore CDG we could find:
