In the wake of Donald Trump’s presidential election victory, Americans will most certainly wonder about the consequences if another war were to take place. Bill Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk examines this disconnect between the realities of war and America’s perception of it, through the fictional Billy Lynn (Joe Alwyn), a war veteran whose victory tour on home soil is a stark contrast to the trauma of all the battles he has encountered.

Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk is now in cinemas.

Taking place some 70 years before the Harry Potter series, this movie places the attention on Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), a writer who chances upon New York’s hidden bunch of wizards and witches. Expect nothing less than a fine performance from Redmayne, and with supporting characters played by the likes of Johnny Depp and Colin Farrell, along with a script prepared by J. K. Rowling herself, this film could be November’s biggest hit.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will be out in cinemas on 17 November 2016.
