The sneaker will be released this Saturday, July 20, for S$269.

OG sneakerheads would be more than familiar with the name Tinker Hatfield. The living legend’s designs birthed some of the most popular Nike sneakers of all time, but it’s the Air Max 1 – in the original University Red colorway – that stays in the memory. After all, it’s the creation that kick-started the Air Max line, which remains popular to this very day. This year, Nike brings the history of the iconic Air Max 1 to fore with an iteration taken straight off the drawing board. Take a closer look at the Nike Air Max 1 Sketch to Shelf below.

The unique features of this tongue-in-cheek re-release of the OG Air Max 1 are hard to pass up. The unfinished red and grey marker sketches on the uppers lend a rawness to the sneaker that is further emphasized by the handwritten details highlighting each component. For Air Max fans, it’s definitely a collector’s item – especially if you already have both the original 1985 model and the anniversary reboot in your collection.

The online raffle for the sneaker is now open on END Launches until July 20, with the price set at S$269. Hit the link below to enter.
