Nike Air Max 98 CNY Leaks Have Surfaced And They Are Wild

Chinese New Year cannot come any sooner as early images of the Nike Air Max 98 CNY have surfaced.

Coming in a multitude of prints and textures, these Air Max 98s may be the boldest pair yet.

When you think of Chinese New Year, you think red packets, family gatherings, the snacks on the coffee table and maybe even that uncle or aunty that won’t stop talking to you. However, for 2019 Nike may have something in store for you to be excited about.

Recent images of the rumored Nike Air Max 98 “Chinese New Year” (CNY) has surfaced and it looks like we’re in for a treat. With the sneaker’s upper receiving three layers of contrasting materials and patterns, these will definitely be a conversation starter at any family gathering during the new year celebrations.

These Nike Air Max 98 CNY will feature scaly leather on the panel just above the midsole, brown pony hair on the panel above and what looks like a mural printed on the final panel. The CNY sneaker also has other details such as red panels and turquoise pull tabs. Finally, there are gold accents, which can be seen in the air unit, a textured teal tongue and speckled laces.
