The Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 “Tinker Blue” will sell for US$720 (approx. S$979) on Nike’s SNKRS app at the end of the month.

Much like an earlier release of the shoe model that dropped in December 2016, the Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 “Tinker Blue” (also known as the Sport Royal colorway) will come with a heel sensor and cable lacing system that enables the wearer to tighten and loosen the cables.

Like any good HyperAdapt shoe, the 1.0 “Tinker Blue” also comes with LED lights on its outsole, and a heel that’s reminiscent of light-up sneakers from the 90s.

Pay attention to the shoe tongue too. Not only does it come with white polk dot patterns, it also bears the acronym “EARL”, which stands for “Electro Adaptive Reactive Lacing”.

The sneakers, priced at US$720 (approx. S$979), will be available from Friday, October 27. The technologically advanced pair will be available for purchase from Nike’s SNKRS app (available from iTunes and Google Play).

A quick check on Stock x reveals that the Tinker Blue’s predecessor, the Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 in black, has a resale value of US$1,032 (approx. S$1,404).

The more limited silhouette – the Nike Air Mag – was auctioned off for US$52,000 in June 2017.
