The Nike Joyride Run Flyknit is now available to purchase in women’s sizes on Nike.com, retailing at S$249 a pair. The shoe doesn’t seem to be available in men’s sizes on the website just yet. Stay tuned for further updates.

The Nike Joyride cushioning technology is formed with the help of thousands of beads.

Over the years, we have seen Nike put countless of materials like foam, rubber and, more notably, air into their sneakers. This time, they are taking their innovation even further by using thousands of plastic and rubber hybrid beads for its new cushioning system. The beads can be found in four different pods that account for different parts of the foot while moving. Also, shoes featuring the Joyride system would come without sock liners to help feet better conform to the beads.

This technology – which has been ten years in the making – enables greater impact absorption while also being incredibly light. Specifically, each of the tiny beads expands in all directions to facilitate greater absorption when running. What’s more, the Nike Joyride technology forms to your feet, offering a comfortable personalized experience.
