Panda meets the Bird as Staple and Nike tease the third collaborative Dunk Low

The Nike SB Dunk Low Panda Pigeon will be the third Nike SB sneaker made in collaboration with Staple.

Nike SB Dunk Low Panda Pigeon

The Nike SB Dunk Low Panda Pigeon is Jeff Staple’s third Nike SB Dunk Low.

The sneaker pays homage to the OG Nike SB Pigeon drop and some new details.

Jeff Staple is an OG in the streetwear and sneaker scene and his brand, Staple, is not new to putting out sneakers in collaboration with the biggest brands. The Dunks have been some of Staple’s most successful collabs – the Staple x Nike SB “Pigeon” Dunks are arguably one of the most well-known sneakers ever and the follow-up “Black Pigeon” in 2017 were just as hyped. This third time around, Staple brings bear and bird together to create a Nike SB Dunk Low called the “Panda Pigeon”.

As the name suggests, the sneaker is inspired by pandas hence the black and white colorway with green accents. That aside, the shoe comes with an icy sole which shows off the New York Daily News headline of the riots that occurred during the release of his “Pigeon” Dunks. Green, co-branded insoles are found with bamboo graphics, keeping in line with the Panda theme. The Nike logo on the heel tab is also in the same green accent. A ‘Sample’ tag can be found on the sockliner but with a twist; Staple crosses out the letters ‘M’ and adds a ‘T’, changing the word to read ‘Staple’ instead. Finally, you’ll spot the iconic Staple Pigeon logo embroidered on the back of the sneaker.

These are said to drop January 6, but will only be available on the NTWRK app. A wider release of the Nike SB Dunk Low Panda Pigeon will be available later in the year. No retail price have been announced yet, but watch this space for updates.
