Although the key idea of the collaboration is the irony of having a clear luggage, there are complementary accessories that make this product actually usable for travel. The cases are based off the Rimowa Essential, and each case comes with a Flex-Divider system, an Off-White designed case cover and a cotton “Miscellaneous” bag for more efficient packing. All the accessories come in a choice of either black or white. The cases are equipped with Rimowa’s silent Multiwheel system for optimum maneuverability and TSA approved combination locks. Finally, each comes with a custom Off-White luggage belt and exclusive transparent amenity kit containing an extra set orange wheels.
Along with the second iteration of the transparent suitcase is a completely new Off-White x Rimowa luggage: the “Personal Belongings” aluminum case. It is based off the Rimowa Original model and comes with the word “Personal” emblazoned across the hard shell.
The transparent cases will be released in the US on October 12 and in Europe, Japan, and Asia (Singapore excluded) on October 25. The “Personal Belongings” aluminum case will drop on October 12 in the US and October 26 for Europe, Japan, and Asia (Singapore excluded).
What do you think of the Off-White x Rimowa collection? Would you buy a transparent luggage? Let us know in the comments.
