The Round Two owner flexes his special Air Max 1 on the ‘gram as we await his second iteration of the Air Max 1/97.

Sean Wotherspoon has become an icon in the world of streetwear and sneaker over the past two years. His official sneaker collab with Nike that launched on Air Max Day 2018 took the culture by storm, leaving everyone with great expectations of what’s to come from Sean next.

Having already teased us with samples of the “second wave” of the SW Air Max 1/97, Wotherspoon found time to flex his latest bespoke sneaker in partnership with the Swoosh.

Sporting a full corduroy upper, each panel on the patchwork sneaker comes in mismatched shades of earthy and pastel colors. For those who can’t get enough of the Swoosh, this shoe has plenty to spare – there is a mini Swoosh on the front lateral side of the sneaker as well as three extra mini Swooshes on the tongue.

Following closely the first Instagram post, Sean published two more posts of the sneaker seen in different light. Turns out, when the upper is completely distressed, a floral design is revealed underneath. The concept of this shoe is symbolic of Sean’s belief that people should wear their sneakers – even if to the point of getting them beat up.

Could this be a sign of what is to come from the next iteration of the SW Air Max 1/97? We will have to wait and see. Meanwhile, check out the design process behind Sean’s bespoke sneaker here (Sean enters the Nike Lab at around the 14:18 mark).
