StraatBeats Vol. 5: Bangers from Future, Juice WRLD, Lil Yachty, Gucci Mane and Lil Pump

StraatBeats Vol. 5 delivers the freshest and hardest hitting tracks for the week.

StraatBeats Vol. 5

This week’s curation includes music from Future, Juice WRLD, Lil Yachty, Gucci Mane and Lil Pump

1. “Fine China” – Future & Juice WRLD

Future and Juice WRLD surprised us with this single for their collaborative EP. Comparing a beautiful girl to fine china, the track details how Juice WRLD would treat his girl. With heavy 808s and rattling hi-hats, the track lets the duo flaunt their iconic flow and style.

2. “Tap Out” (ft. Jeremih) – Jay Rock

Jeremih lends his smooth vocals to the chorus of this lustful tune from Jay Rock. A wavy and chill track for the hang out session with the crew or when you’re trying to get funky with your significant other, this track will definitely get the place in a vibe.

3. “Brooklyn Bodega” – KOTA The Friend

KOTA The Friend has been creeping up the underground/indie rap scene, putting out singles non-stop and even dropping an album this year. You’ll really get a sense of KOTA’s lyricism thanks to the lyric video style of all his MVs.

4. “Please Forgive” (ft. Denzel Curry, IDK, ZillaKami and Zombie Juice) – Powers Pleasant

Powers Pleasant hits back with another banger following his break out hit, “Pull Up”. Returning with a slew of features on his latest release, which includes Denzel Curry and Zombie Juice of Flatbush Zombies, “Please Forgive” delivers the same heavy-hitting vibe that is bound to send the clubs in a frenzy.

5. “Money Right” (ft. Skepta) – Dizzee Rascal

Another one off the Grime MC’s latest EP, this time with the help of another OG in the genre, Skepta. Dizzee Rascal delivers a classic grime sound as he raps in a braggadocious way about being the best.

6. “Stuck In My Ways” (ft. 6lack) – Phora

Phora is another sleeper in the emerging emo-rap genre. “Stuck In My Ways”, featuring Atlanta singer/rapper 6lack, features the spacey trap sound that was popular a couple of years back juxtaposed with Phora’s signature touch of heartbreak imagery. Phora is one big track away from breaking into the limelight.

7. “Prince Charming” – Action Bronson

“Prince Charming” is another single from the rap game’s favorite chef, Action Bronson. Produced by neo-soul and jazz-rap extraordinaire Knwledge, Action raps about his current state of mind. With his iconic flow and sound, Bronson’s second single tees us up for what seems set to be a thematic and rather spiritual album.

8. “Ottolenghi” – Loyle Carner & Jordan Rakei

“Ottolenghi” is Loyle Carner’s first release since his debut studio album ‘Yesterday’s Gone’ in 2017. This one’s a soulful and heartwarming swing about how to cope with internal struggles. Loyle is a lyricist whose words paint images that can really make you feel some sort of way, and his rapid come-up in the past couple of years is truly well-deserved.

9. “SaintLaurentYSL” (ft. Lil Baby)

Lil Yachty ropes Lil Baby in on this subtle trap banger as they talk about the struggles they have had to go through to get to where they are in life now. Shouting out “Yves Saint Laurent”, Yachty talks about how he has been draped in the luxury brand ever since the “YSL days” – a reference to the period of time when “YSL” stood for “Young Stoner Life”, a term coined by Young Thug.

10. “Noticed” – Lil Moosey

With heavy bass hits and synths, “Noticed” by Lil Moosey brings that slurry-flex rap to the next level, showing off his flow and rhymes.
