Surrender re-opened their store after a makeover of their interiors. Guests at the re-opening definitely brought the heat to the party. StraatSpots breaks down some of the sneakers we spotted.
1) Surgery required
It’s not often that we see an OFF-White x Air Jordan 1 “Chicago”, much less a Shoe Surgeon custom version. Plus, it’s all paired with Gucci socks for an extra lux vibe.
2) Light work
With fans like Jaden Smith, this shoe is one for those who see the Vision. Boasting premium leather as well as accents with the iconic LV monogram and an exaggerated arch, this sneaker gives off a strong futuristic look.
3) Keeping it simple
Elliot Upton of Sottes kept to the theme of his clothing line by wearing an equally clean pair of JW Anderson x Converse high cuts.
4) Kaw(e)s(ome)
The KAws x Air Jordan 4 is still one of most sought after sneakers in the game. Just look at the suede and details, there is no debate this is one of the best made Jordans in a minute.
5) A very Mean shoe
Rapper Mean.xs has always got some heat in his closet. He pulled up to the event in the highly coveted CDG x Nike Air Mowabb.
6) Triple S everywhere
The Balenciaga Triple S is undoubtedly one of the most talked about sneakers of the year. It comes as no surprise that we saw the chunky dad shoe on the feet of many at the launch.
7) Mindboggling
Arguably one of the cooler customs we’ve seen in a while, Mindseeker founder Taiki Nozawa shows off a custom Nike AF1. The shoe features an orange leather Nike swoosh that has been extended to form the letter M with a Mindseeker tag as well as a custom Mindseeker logo embossed on the back of the shoe.
8) Chunky-town
What did we say about chunky sneakers?
9) Please don’t touch my Rafs
An apt sneaker considering there was a Raf Simons archive on display at the party.
10) Yeezus Christ
A timeless color for one of the newer silhouettes in the ever-growing Yeezy line.
We’d like to thank everyone who let us take snaps of their creps.
