Last year’s inaugural edition saw street culture celebrated at the massive and uniquely grungy Pasir Panjang Power Station. With Scape the designated location this time, the event will take over an astounding five levels of space to make room for the latest lineup and activities.

The level 1 marketplace will feature booths by familiar names in the scene, such as Novelship, Konstrkt Labs, Pasar Peninsula, exclusive merch by the local creative crew Island Boys Collective, along with the presence of local communities such as YBSG by AMME.

Also on the same level is the “Youth Plaza”, where attendees can get a haircut by the Golden Rule Barbers Co., inked by Jagua Ink Tattoos and customized art by Krafer’s Paradise. If you’re on the lookout for second-hand gems, your haven is up on the level 4 vintage market will be your haven with its slew of pop-ups including Affleated, Freshthrifts, RaisedByRetro, among others.

2) Toys for the big boys

Toy convention, Big Big Con, will mark its debut at Street Superior as designer toy collectibles take the spotlight this year with its own space at level 5. Curated by creative studio Flabslab, the convention will feature showcases and exclusive previews from artists in Singapore – such as Pobber Toys and Whale Rabbit – and around the region, including Creon (Philippines), Kong Adri (Indonesia) and Robin Tang, to name a few. The biggest highlight of Big Big Con is set to be the display of rare Star Wars collectibles that will also be available for sale. Are you a big fan of toys and Star Wars? Then level 5 sounds like your spot.

3) Supreme on deck

Supreme fanboys, you’ll be in for a treat at level 2 of the Street Superior 2019 festival. Supreme collector Ben Tan’s massive and almost complete collection of Supreme skate decks will be on display – only three pieces are missing from an otherwise full set of 248 decks released by the New York skate brand between 1998 and 2018.  It will be the first time a collection as large as this is displayed to the public in Singapore. You really wouldn’t want to leave the event without swinging by the showcase.

4) Creativity is the key

The “customization” theme features heavily at this year’s festival with custom art showcases and exclusive custom designs available for pre-order by Australia-based custom sneaker artists Chase Shiel and El Sneaker Hefe. That’s not all: local custom artists TK Collective, AKA Lazy, and Hypethetic will also be on hand to show off their work. Plus, the event will open up a platform for budding creatives to put their talent in sneaker customization to the test through the #SSFsoleygrail competition. At stake is a S$1,000 cash prize along with the chance to produce a sneaker collection that will go on display at sneaker conventions around the region in 2020.

5) Limited Edt
