6 Reasons Why We Love the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus

We put Apple’s latest smartphones to the test and came away thoroughly impressed. Here are the highlights that will prove useful to you.

1. Everything looks good on the screen

Retina Display technology has been around for a while now, but it still impresses, especially on the larger iPhone 6S Plus. Text is crisp, pictures are sharp and HD videos are crystal-clear. On a typical day, we set the screen brightness to 50% and it’s more than adequate for comfortable viewing.

2. No more issues with “bendgate”

Hours of urban activity translates to plenty of abuse on the smartphone, but the iPhone has held up well without any signs of wear or god forbid, bending. The new 7000 series aluminum used to make the phone certainly has made this device a hardy one.

3. Cutting-edge processor makes it futureproof

Let’s face it, no one likes having a laggy phone that acts up during crucial moments. The iPhone has a new A9 chip that packs serious processing power, along with an M9 motion co-processor that takes care of Siri and other features running in the background. In short, this phone will last you for years.

4. The new iSight camera takes fantastic photos

We took the iPhone out on a weekend, taking street snaps, sneaker shots and food photos. The new 12-megapixel camera takes exceptional photos, with color production and textures that are accurate to the very last detail.

5. Every photo taken becomes a short story

With Live Photos, pictures captured by the camera come with a few seconds of movement that add life to otherwise static images. Live Photos works with the front-facing camera too, and the animated photos can be shared with other iPhone 6S/6S Plus users.

6. Lots of time is saved, thanks to 3D Touch

Arguably the biggest difference between the newest iPhone and its predecessors is the pressure-sensitive touchscreen, otherwise known as 3D Touch.

Coupled with the Peek and Pop function found on many apps like Instagram, we can now preview social media posts, emails and messages at just a touch of the screen. To view the post in full, simply give it a heavier touch. How’s that for taking shortcuts?

The iPhone 6S and 6S Plus is now available at Apple’s online store, exclusive dealers and telcos.
