Although mastermind JAPAN was slated to “close up shop” after what was meant to be its final project, a collaboration with adidas Originals Consortium in July last year, it seems the brand is not ready to fade away just yet. This month, it releases an adidas Consortium Stan Smith collaborative sneaker, leaving fans something to remember them by.
The upper features a tiny laser-cut crisscross pattern while the toe-box, tongue and heel tab are kept in smooth leather. Mastermind JAPAN’s skulls and crossbones logo can be found embossed on the tongue and debossed on the heel tab. Finally, thick black stitching contrasts against the white midsole.
The adidas Consortium Stan Smith x mastermind JAPAN will be available from February 22nd at Limited Edt Vault, 313@Somerset, and Limited Edt Chamber, Marina Bay Sands, as well as at No.6 London, No.42 Paris, No.74 Berlin and selected Consortium boutique retailers worldwide.
