Adidas Originals by Alexander Wang is a collection that spans 84 pieces of unisex apparel that aims to subvert the boundaries between streetwear and fashion.
The Adidas Originals by Alexander Wang collection carries both apparel and footwear, that is inspired by subversion and defying rules. This is showcased in the upside down logos that go against branding conventions. The campaign also featured the models posing in front of stacks of shoe boxes, denoting the rise of resell culture among youths.
The collection comes in three packs: the In-Out, All Over Print and Soccer pack. Pieces from the In-Out pack are flipped from the inside out, mixed with alternating panels of fabric, which have a DIY appeal. The All Over Print pack carries only outerwear comprising a windbreaker and a reversible bomber jacket; both sport a co-branded all over print. The Soccer pack ties in with the collection perfectly, taking the conventions of traditional football wear injected with a dose of high-fashion. Think: jacquard jersey tops, shorts and tracksuits in white, bluebird, maroon orange and dark indigo.
The collection will be available at Alexander Wang, Hilton Hotel Singapore from Saturday, April 1.
