Bodegas, which are a dime a dozen in New York City, often give away these brown paper bags to customers to hold their groceries and hide their alcoholic beverages.
The rapper’s fourth collaboration with Adidas Originals draws inspiration from these experiences, and his time spent in his local bodega.
“The Bodega, a place for growth and evolution in all senses; where people buy their groceries, hang outside at night, and gain respect from peers,” wrote Adidas Originals. “We pay tribute to the hub of many communities.”
Featuring a beige PrimeKnit upper, the sneakers have been paired with a BOOST midsole for comfort. It boasts tanned leather scale paneling, as well as reflective details.
Lastly, it comes with engraved “King Push” metal lace locks. It will also arrive in luxury packaging.
Retailing at US$220 (approx. S$301), the sneakers will drop in limited quantities at select retailers, Adidas Original stores, and Adidas.com.
For those looking to cop these sneakers in Singapore, Limited Edt has revealed in an Instagram post that it will be carrying the shoe. It drops locally on November 3 as well.
