The adidas Yung 1 is everything a retro-inspired sneaker would look like – chunky and bold colors. Though it looks like a sneaker straight from the ’90s archive, it’s actually a mild reinterpretation of the 1997 Falcon Dorf.
The retro runners will debut two colorways on June 20, one in Hi-Res Orange and another in classic Chalk White with uppers made of nubuck with mesh underlays. Some key features found in newer adidas sneakers will also find its way to this shoe. Among those are adidas’ Torsion system technology, which allows the underfoot to move freely without having to sacrifice support and stability.
On the bright side, at S$179, it’s a cheaper alternative to adidas’ other chunky sneaker – the S$320 Yeezy 500 sneakers. Furthermore, you can expect bold colors and interesting color-blocking choices on the Yung 1 compared to the more monotone Yeezys.
