Against Lab x Cloakwork “MK-II” Limited Edition Resin Sculpture

Cloakwork, Malaysia based artist, releases his first resin sculpture inspired by the spray can and hand grenade.

We’ve been following the work of Malaysia based artist, Cloakwork, for a while now. We collaborated with him on a t-shirt design (available online in white and black) for our first anniversary in 2014 and featured his sneaker box art in May this year. So it was of great interest to us when we learned about his latest creation – a resin sculpture called the MiKael II, or MK-II for short.

“My very first self-designed resin sculpture marks a milestone in my career as a full time graffiti artist/illustrator. It’s a character created by combining a spray can and a MK-II hand grenade,” said Cloakwork.

The MK-II stands at seven inches tall and is said in a press release to be crafted with “high precision and quality materials”. A super limited run of just five pieces of these bad boys will be released.

Each piece is packed inside a military-themed wooden box padded with hay for protection. As a bonus, every purchase of the MK-II comes with a unique illustration by Cloakwork, lending a personal touch to the pieces sold.

The MK-II is released under Against Lab, a Malaysia-based contemporary fashion label and multi-disciplinary creative agency.

The Against Lab x Cloakwork MK-II resin sculpture will be released on Tuesday, August 25th, on Against Lab’s online store. It retails for US$250 (approx. S$352.80) a piece.
