Drawing inspiration from the fashion capitals of Europe, Jordan Brand has launched two AJ1 sneakers that encapsulate the sights and style of the two cities. The Air Jordan 1 Mid “Milan” and Air Jordan 1 Low “Paris” are meant to embody the distinct look of each city, through a play of colors, textured leathers and fabrics.
The Air Jordan 1 Mid “Milan” comes dressed in various pastel shades of brown, looking very soft and light on the classic Jordan silhouette. The sneaker really embodies the colors of the gothic cathedrals and ancient architecture seen across the Italian city. Paying homage to the city’s variety of buildings spanning centuries in age, the sneaker’s uppers are made from a luxe leather of various textures – ranging from smooth to rough to suede all layered on top of each other.

The Air Jordan 1 Low “Paris” is quite obviously inspired by the romantic capital of France. The sneaker embodies the city with its cool mix of grey panels made from premium leather and suede. This combination of greys perfectly encapsulates the city of love’s mix of modern glass structures and classical architecture. Darker grey panels on the eyelets, Swoosh and heel cap maintain the traditional color blocking we expect from the Air Jordan 1 Low.
