All-Star weekend is just days away and we can already sense the anticipation. Even if you don’t follow the NBA, sneakerheads all over the world know that it’s a calendar date for some of the hottest sneaker drops of the year. This year, we’ll see a global release of the Air Jordan 3 Retro SE “Red Cements” – a non-OG colorway that celebrates the state of Chicago with a very red take on the Jordan 3 Retro.

Outside of All-Star weekend, Adidas is dropping a sneaker to commemorate their special relationship with Run-DMC – which sparked music partnerships for decades to come. Check out this week’s hottest drops below.

Air Jordan IV “Washed Denim”

February 13

Paul George and Nike are releasing their third installment of the PG4 x Gatorade collab. Named “ASW”, the sneaker sees uppers that are a tie-dye mix of Gatorade’s signature colors. Purple, green and teal “stains” dot the uppers and toe box of the sneaker – creating a psychedelic and striking effect. The medial side sees a “Barely Volt” perforated panel that adds structure to the uppers. “Total Orange” hits fill the Swoosh, Gatorade logo at the heel, Air midsoles and accents on zips and lings. The “UNC to Chicago” is a women’s exclusive colorway that merges two of the most iconic Jordan 1 colorways – “Banned/Bred” and “UNC”. Seen as a counterpart to the Air Jordan 1 “Fearless”, the Air Jordan 1 “UNC to Chicago” pays homage to Jordan’s alma-mater UNC and his move into his professional career with the Chicago Bulls. Kyrie 6 “Trophies”
February 14

The Nike Kyrie 6 “Trophies” is another sneaker celebrating the All-Star weekend. The “Trophies” colorway commemorates the Chicago Bulls’ 1996 championship win. The date of the championship win, “06/16/96”, is stitched into the bottom of the right tongue. This date happens to coincide with Kyrie’s first NBA championship, “06/19/16”, which appears on the bottom left tongue. Besides these little hidden gems, the rest of the sneaker comes in a very bright red – the Chicago Bulls’ team color. Some reviews have noted that the sneaker gives off a similar vibe to the Yeezy “Red Octobers” because of the strong red colorway.

Contrasting the red hues are gold and black accents, which are the team’s signature colors. Another hidden detail is the inner sock liner, which has the same pattern as the carpet that MJ laid on crying after winning his first NBA title. You can cop the striking Kyrie 6 “Trophies” for S$209.
