August is seriously shaping up to be a massive month for sneakerheads, and the opening drops certainly point towards it. Unsurprisingly, Nike set the bar high this week with three sneakers launching on August 1. The spotlight may well be on the Air Jordan 4 Retro Cool Grey – an iconic colorway last released way back in 2004 – but fans should be buzzing at the fresh Nike x Undercover Daybreak colorways arriving this week too. Adding to that, the brand seems to be stoking the embers of a Nike SB Dunk Low resurgence with a “Game Royal” iteration set to make its debut as well.
Breaking away from Nike’s dominance is Puma, which will launch a highly anticipated collaboration capsule with L.A. streetwear brand, Rhude. If you’re already excited, then hear this – the sneaker collection itself will comprise four different silhouettes to pick from. Looking to cop this week’s lineup of releases? Read on for the details.
Air Jordan 4 Retro Cool Grey
August 1
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of its fourth signature sneaker, Jordan Brand will be releasing the iconic Air Jordan 4 Retro Cool Grey for the first time since 2004. The sneaker will arrive in the exact carbon copy of the original, featuring the varied shades of grey on the uppers, nubuck wing straps and a shimmering Chrome Jumpman logo on the heel. The best part? You can cop this for your little ones too as the iteration will launch in full family sizing. Hit the links below to secure a pair come drop day.

But this time, the Obsidian and Univesity Red colorway will be available only for women, while Bright Citron will cater to men’s sizes. If you’re looking to cop, the women’s pairs retail at S$229 while the men’s Bright Citron pair is S$285.

Nike SB Dunk Low Game Royal
August 1
Nike SB is plotting a monumental return back to the top of the sneaker game. And it could possibly start with this upcoming release. Instead of a wild makeup (which wasn’t uncommon in the past) the Nike SB Dunk Low comes in a clean colorway featuring grey and white tones contrasted with the iconic Game Royal colorway all across the outsole and subtle hints around the uppers. Add the cracked leather effect and the famous fat tongue and you’ll find yourself back in Nike SB heaven in no time. Cop a pair when it drops this week. The sneaker will retail at £75 (approx. S$125).

Puma is rampaging through the sneaker collaboration space once again with not one, but four collaboration sneakers launching this week. The collection is part of the Puma x Rhude capsule which features the Puma Cell Alien, Alteration, Basket ’68 OG Mid and Palace Guard. The shoes are infused with the L.A. streetwear brand’s premium and minimal aesthetic through a mix of neutral tones and eye-catching reflective elements. The sneaker range will retail from S$209 to S$239. The only question now is: which would you cop?
