Nike has unveiled a golf version of the sold-out Air Max 1 Big Bubble. Identical at first glance, the golf variant sports a slightly altered outsole and a slightly thinner Air unit – however it’s just as wide with four pillars within it. In terms of the upper, you can expect the same mix of mesh, suede overlays and sock liners. If you took an L on the drop date, consider shopping the Air Max 1 ’86 OG G to own the look without paying for resale.

As the sneaker that propelled Nike’s Air Max line, the Air Max 1 has a rich history and has undergone several iterations since its original release in 1987. The Air Max 1 ‘Big Bubble’, rumored to arrive in Singapore as part of Air Max Day, is the latest addition to this iconic line. It boasts a number of unique features and design elements that differentiates it from recent retros and will more closely resemble the OG release.

The AM1 ‘Big Bubble’ will come with a distinctive midsole that sports a larger visible air bubble as compared to recent Air Max 1 retros. On closer inspection, an extra foam pillar can be seen within the air unit. Another design detail that is a nod to the OG release is the sneaker’s colorway. The AM1 ‘Big Bubble’ will come in the iconic Red, White and Grey colorway that was featured on posters of the era.
