The Alexander Wang and Adidas partnership unlocks seven new sneakers this winter

Alexander Wang x Adidas show off retro-inspired silhouettes with a touch of modern design.

The sneakers fuse past and future with their unique styles and design.

Alexander Wang and Adidas look to show off the versatility and ambitiousness of the sneakers with this latest collaboration capsule. Showcasing how they can transform simple silhouettes into bold sneakers, the seven sneakers showcase the eclectic capabilities of Alexander Wang when it comes to fusing avant-garde with sneakers. The Alexander Wang x Adidas collection comprises seven sneakers – the Turnout Trainer, Bball, Puff Trainer, Turnout Bball, and Skate Super, with the Turnout Bball and Skate Super each coming in two colorways.

The Turnout Trainer and Puff Trainer both boast the same aggressive midsole with the difference being its uppers. The Turnout Trainer has a more classic silhouette with its conventional lacing system and intricate paneling. The Puff Trainer, on the other hand, showcases this sock shoe construction with a unique lacing system that ends with a lace lock on the heel of the shoe.

While not moving off from the midsole of the first two silhouettes, the Turnout Bball sneaker has an upper that resembles older basketball performance sneaker – bulky in every aspect. The chunky sneaker is embossed with logos, including the iconic upside-down trefoil often seen in Alexander Wang’s numerous collaborations with the three stripes. This silhouette comes in two colorways, one entirely in black and the other, white with a black tongue.

Similar in name but definitely not in its construction, the Bball has got a sock-shoe like upper with a garter at the top. The sneaker also features an exposed boost midsole as well as the flipped trefoil on the shoe’s tongue.

Finally, the Skate Super may be the most contemporary sneaker out of the whole collection. It’s an avant-garde version of the Adidas Superstar, complete with a platform midsole and a stitched on toe cap.

The Alexander Wang x Adidas collection will be available on Adidas.com on November 14. The sneakers are priced from $200 (approx. S$276) to $250 (approx. S$345).
