Created anonymously, the petition hosted on Change.org aims to gather 7,500 names and any support evidence to officially file a complaint against the fashion label’s tardy delivery practices.
At time of writing, the anonymous petition has received slightly over 5,000 names. Though the petition was created 11 months ago, it’s beginning to pick up momentum and is just about 2,500 signatures shy of the target number.
According to the petition, if the brand is found guilty, it will be forced to ship out the items due the unhappy customers within 30 days. Additionally, Anti Social Social Club will have to update these customers with a new shipping estimate either by mail, telephone, or email. Failure to do so gives the FTC the right to fine ASSC up to US$16,000 per violation.
Delivery: an ongoing issue
ASSC has long had a reputation for failing to ship out its orders on time. According to Hypebeast, the issue spiraled out of control when the brand failed to deliver its July drop to over 1,000 customers. That’s about half a million US dollars worth of merchandise, claims the report.
A quick scan of the fashion brand’s Instagram page shows complaints left by unhappy customers on multiple posts (see examples below), which neither ASSC nor founder Neek Lurk have responded to.
It’s not known if the FTC will take action against the brand once the complaint has been filed.
