ASICS and Kiko Kostadinov deliver a follow-up to their first collaboration, which was released in February 2018. The latest delivery, which drops today, is the GEL-BURZ 2 in three colorways – Seafoam, Forest and Terracotta. The colorways mirrors the color schemes of Kostadinov’s apparel line that is inspired by traditional pottery.
The sneaker itself – said to mark the next generation of performance runners – is loaded with running technology cultivated from ASICS’ extensive footwear archive. As such, elements of the GEL-VENTURE 6 and GEL-NIMBUS 20 models, FlyteFoam technology, impact guidance and GEL cushioning systems, all feature in the GEL-BURZ 2 model. The only update is a pottery-inspired leather panel, replacing the translucent rubber layers on the GEL-BURZ 1 model.
The ASICS x Kiko Kostadinov GEL-BURZ 2 will retail at S$449 a pair. So while these are built for running, you may not actually end up hitting the tarmac in them. Shop the collection at Dover Street Market Singapore from today.
