Jjjjound adds Reebok collaboration to the list: Guide to the best sneaker releases

2024 looks set to be another big year for Jjjjound’s collaborations and the label has just dropped a first look at their next Reebok team-up. While we wait for more info, here are our picks for the best Jjjjound sneaker collaborations you can cop right now.

Jjjjound

The best Jjjjound sneaker collaborations? That’s a matter of opinion. The Montreal label has worked with everyone from New Balance to Asics to produce drops that get everyone talking. Always minimalist in design, heavily researched and expertly executed, Jjjjound collaborations are eagerly anticipated from one year to the next.

This month, Jjjjound teased a new team-up with Reebok, signalling that another footwear collaboration between the two brands is soon to come.

Jjjjound x Reebok

This isn’t the first time the design studio has teamed up with the heritage sneaker giant. Their partnership started back in 2019 with the Club C 85; an iconic Reebok shoe that lends itself to Jjjjound’s minimalist aesthetic. The retro training shoe was pared back and simply detailed with the Jjjjound logo at the window box – this would become a calling card for all future releases.

From there, Jjjjound has put a spin on numerous signature shoes including the Classic Nylon, Classic Nubuk, the Club C and more, as well as once again revisiting the 85.

Jjjjound Sneaker Collaborations

Like we said, the label is prolific when it comes to partnering up with like-minded brands. To help you get up to speed with previous drops, here’s a run down of some of the best Jjjjound sneaker collaborations that you can still cop.

Jjjjound

Jjjjound

The second collaboration between Jjjjound and Vans saw the label reinterpreting the iconic Style 37 through its understated lens. It depicted the shoe in muted colorways and let the construction speak for itself with minimal detailing and durable, heavy-duty materials.

Jjjjound

Model: Jjjjound x New Balance 2002R ‘Storm Blue’
Price: US$266 (approx. $362)

The brand released an updated NB 2002R earlier this year, but it’s the 2023 iteration that we’ve still got on our minds. It struck a moody figure in its “Storm Blue” colorway and combined New Balance’s technical expertise with Jjjjound’s pared-back design language.

Jjjjound

Model: Jjjjound x A BATHING APE women’s Bapesta ‘White’
Price: US$435 (approx.S$592)

The collaboration with BAPE® might have seemed to many to be an unlikely fit – the stripped-back nature of Jjjjound and the bold streetwear legacy of Nigo’s label – but the drop expertly drew on both identities. Jjjjound reimagined BAPE®’s iconic graphic language with minimalism in mind, resulting in these sleek yet statement sneakers.

Chloe Moss
